US Table Tennis Hall of Fame

Recognizing athletes and contributors in the sport of Table Tennis in the United States

Sebastian DeFrancesco (1953-2023)

Last night, 2021 USTT Hall of Famer, Sebastian DeFrancesco fought his final battle amongst us and is now with the legends of the game that have passed. United States HOF Para greats like Mike Dempsey and Marcy Monasterial set the standard for representing the US and Seb was right there, along their side. Very few will have the impact these warriors had on the sport, their friends and our families.

May Liz DeFrancesco seek comfort knowing how much all Seb’s friends from table tennis thank you for being his co-pilot in life.

The HOF sends our prayers and condolences to the entire Para table tennis family as we remember Sebastian’s smile, humility, humanity and fighting spirit.

From Liz: There will be a celebration of life on October 28. At 11 o’clock at Peace United Church. 900 High St., Santa Cruz.

  1. I’ve known Dick for over 60 years. He was always a gentleman, very warm and friendly, as well as being one of the top ten players in the US.
